Euromoney Magazine
January 2006 — Royal
Bank of Canada moved up five spots to No. 18 of top private
banks in the world, according to Euromoney Magazine. Euromoney's
third annual private banking survey recognized Royal Bank
of Canada's market leadership in a number of areas:
One of the Top 5 private banks in North America
One of the Top 10 private banks in Latin America
One of the Top 5 private banks in the UAE
One of the Top 10 offshore private banks servicing South Africa
No. 1 private bank in Grand Cayman
No. 2 private bank in Canada
No. 4 private bank in the Bahamas
Global Top 10 for international trust
No. 1 and No. 2 spots for international trust in the UK (RBC
and recently acquired Abacus Financial Services Group)
No. 3 for Trust Services in Singapore
The Euromoney private banking survey has been designed to
provide a qualitative and quantitative review of the best
services in private banking, organized by region and areas
of service. It also aims to be an informative guide for high
net-worth individuals on the range of service providers that
are available.
The structure of the survey questionnaire and the way in
which scores were calculated are designed to highlight the
firms that provide the most services at the highest level
