RBC named UVic's Business Co-op Employer of the Year
June, 2007 — RBC is the 2007 recipient of the
University of Victoria's Business Co-op and Career Centre
Employer of the Year Award for delivering a truly experiential
education to UVic's students and graduates. Specifically RBC
has supported UVic's Business Co-op and Career Centre by:
- Creating 11 co-op student placements in 2006 / 2007;
- Hiring several graduate students over the past two years;
- Participation in the mock interview clinic;
- Representing employers during the EQUIS accreditation
review process;
- Participating in employer panel presentations to students;
and
- Sponsoring the UVic Business undergraduate Case Competition.
"Many of our Business students and alumni have developed
important competencies through RBC, and through the leadership,
mentorship and encouragement of so many of RBC's excellent
managers and staff," says Norah McRae, manager of the
UVic Business Co-op and Career Centre.
