RBC one of the "Best Workplaces in Canada"
April
6 2009 RBC has been named one of the "Best
Workplaces in Canada" for 2009 in an annual study by
the Great Place to Work Institute Canada and The Globe
and Mail.
"This recognition reflects our continuing commitment
to be an employer of choice, where people are valued and we
win together as an organization and individuals" says
Zabeen Hirji, Chief Human Resources Officer.
The "Best Workplaces in Canada" study is primarily
based on an employee survey that measures the level of trust,
pride, and camaraderie in the workplace.
Six principles
define what RBC stands for as an employer and guide ongoing
efforts to support the mutual success of employees, clients
and shareholders. These include a commitment to professional
growth and excellence in people management and a passion for
putting our clients first.
"Shared values, a common vision and having trust in
one's colleagues are essential ingredients for any organization
that seeks to excel," says Zabeen. "We are committed
to making this happen and keeping RBC a great place to work."
This year's winners were announced in a special national
report in The Globe and Mail today.
