It's been said that corporate responsibility isn't so much
about how a company spends its money, but about how a company
makes its money. We believe that the hallmark of corporate
responsibility is how a company does business.
At RBC, we believe that it is our duty to operate with integrity
so that we can fulfill our responsibilities to all our stakeholders.
We have implemented a wide range of policies and practices
to ensure we operate with integrity. Some of these represent
sound principles for any business, such as our attention to
governance, privacy, diversity and being an employer of choice.
Others are specific to our role as a financial institution,
such as how we manage risk and provide basic banking services.
Our priorities include ensuring that we:
- Operate under strong corporate governance and ethical
business practices;
- Serve our clients with integrity and provide products
and services in a responsible, professional manner; and
- Remain an employer of choice, creating meaningful, rewarding
opportunities for our people.
