In addition to this service RBC provides the following guidance to help our clients reduce their banking footprint. By reducing the energy, travel and paper demands associated with your banking activities you can reduce your environmental footprint, save time and money and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The following simple suggestions can help you reduce and rethink your environmental banking footprint:

Bank online – If you haven’t already you can sign up for RBC’s online banking system. RBC Online offers the convenience of banking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and helps you:
- Reduce unnecessary trips to your branch;
- Turn off your paper statements;
- View and Pay bills online; and
- Transfer money online.
- Use telephone banking –You can sign up for RBC’s Telephone Banking system. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
- Invest Online – Options for investing online are available for RBC clients using RBC Direct Investing™. You can sign up or take a tour to learn how to invest online;
- Opt for “No Transaction Record” at an RBC Bank Machine to reduce paper use;
- Choose an RBC branch location nearest your home or work to save energy, travel and time;
- Securely recycle banking documents when appropriate;
- Advise us if you notice that our premises are unnecessarily lit, or overly, air conditioned or heated.
