RBC Capital Markets appoints Scott D. Moskowitz to its U.S
Global Investment Banking platform
NEW YORK, September 8, 2008 — RBC Capital Markets
today announced the appointment of Scott D. Moskowitz to its
U.S. Global Investment Banking (GIB) group. He joins as a
managing director based in New York, and will report to Peter
de Vos, Head of U.S. Investment Banking.
Moskowitz will work closely with RBC's Communications, Media
& Entertainment (CME) group, Technology group, and RBC
Daniels to help continue to drive growth in the U.S. He will
also work with senior management on certain GIB strategic
initiatives, and will join the U.S. GIB Management Committee.
Prior to joining RBC, Moskowitz spent over 15 years with
Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., most recently as senior managing
director and global head of the firm's Technology, Media &
Telecom (TMT) group. In that role, he was responsible for
organizing and directing the TMT business, which was one of
the largest investment banking groups within the firm. Moskowitz'
primary client focus has been in wireless and wireline services,
satellite services, communications technology, and broadcasting.
He has advised corporate and financial sponsor clients on
a broad array of transactions across multiple products lines,
including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and debt and
equity financings.
"We continue to look to bring talented professionals
to RBC, and with Scott's track record of long-term proven
success, he certainly falls into that category," said
de Vos. "His breadth and depth of experience in various
sectors across CME and technology - which we look at as two
strong growth industries for RBC - will be of great benefit
to our business."
The appointment of Moskowitz comes as RBC continues to selectively
grow its U.S. investment banking and capital markets platforms.
Over the past two months, the firm has brought in Jim Wolfe
as head of U.S. Leveraged Finance, Paul Zingarini as head
of Secondary Loan Trading, Richard Rothschild as a managing
director within the firm's Global Syndicated Finance Sales
group, and 12 municipal finance bankers in the healthcare
and housing sectors.
