RBC to announce the "Next Great Innovator"
TORONTO, February 21, 2008 — RBC will announce
the grand prize winners for the 2008 RBC Next Great Innovator
Challenge at a reception in Toronto on February 21, 2008.
This year's Challenge asked university and college students
from across Canada to "describe an innovation, idea or
concept that Canadian financial institutions should consider
to make it easier for clients to do business with us."
More than 100 proposals from schools across Canada were evaluated
and narrowed down to the following five team finalists:
- Ebiz Innovators (Rotman MBA)
- Breakthrough Concepts (Rotman MBA)
- Hype Cyclists (Rotman MBA)
- RUMBA (Ryerson MBA)
- Three Bean Salad (Schulich BComm)
The national winner will be awarded $20,000, second place
will receive $10,000 and the three other finalists will receive
$5,000, respectively.
