RBC branch and ATM locations easier to find with new GPS
and online mapping serviceFirst North American financial institution to sign-on
TORONTO, June 4, 2008 — Accurate and up-to-date
RBC branch, ATM and insurance office locations are now available
on the web-based mapping and social networking site POIfriend.com.
RBC is the first North American financial institution to sign-on
for this service.
"We've been looking at how we can adopt new and emerging
technologies to make it easier and more convenient for consumers
to access RBC's quickly growing network - now the largest
in Canada and expanding in the US," said James McGuire,

our official listing on POIfriend.com, we're taking another
big step towards helping customers access the financial advice
and services they need."
Through POIfriend.com, users will be able to download an
official listing of all North American RBC banking branches
and ATMs, as well as Canadian insurance outlets, to the majority
of GPS-enabled navigation devices. The listing, which will
include location specific information such as hours of operation,
ATMs with audio capability and availability of US currency,
can also be printed directly from the POIfriend.com website
and used for hard-copy maps and driving directions.
"Last year, RBC became the first Canadian financial
institution to put its brand on GPS devices to help users
locate branches and ATMs across North America," said

users to customize and control RBC specific information on
their GPS devices, rather than rely on its pre-loaded data.
