RBC named one of Canada's Greenest Employers
TORONTO, April 16, 2009 — RBC (RY on TSX and
NYSE) has been named one of Canada's Greenest Employers for
2009, according to a competition organized by the editors
of Canada's Top 100 Employers.

recognized for our commitment to reducing our environmental
footprint and having environmentally responsible business

In 2007, RBC launched the RBC Environmental Blueprint, detailing
a wide range of initiatives, policies, procedures and services
related to environmental sustainability. In 2007, RBC also
announced the creation of the RBC Blue Water Project, an innovative
10-year, $50 million grant program to support projects dedicated
to watershed protection and access to clean drinking water
around the world. Over the year, RBC has committed $13.2 million
in multi-year donations to 39 organizations working in these
areas.

Now in its third year, this special designation recognizes
employers that lead the nation in making environmental values
