To participate in this program eligible Referees must:

To receive the $50 Canadian, Referees must:

  1. Be a newcomer to Canada who has arrived in Canada within the last 5 years and who shows proof of arrival in Canada such as passport and landing papers or permanent resident card. Newcomers may be: landed immigrants, permanent residents, or foreign workers.
  2. Be the age of majority in the province in which they reside.
  3. Open an eligible RBC banking account between May 1st and May 31st, 2014 make a minimum deposit of $100 into the account at the time the account is opened. Eligible RBC banking accounts include: RBC VIP Banking, RBC Signature No Limit Banking, RBC No Limit Banking, RBC Day to Day Banking accounts.
  4. Keep the newly opened RBC banking account in good standing until the time we fulfill the offer.
  5. Go online to www.rbc.com/my50 (opens new window) and complete the redemption process for the offer by June 15, 2014
  6. Only one referral fee of $50 Canadian will be provided to the Referee once all eligibility criteria is met regardless of the number of RBC banking accounts or other products opened by the Referee and once the redemption process for the offer is completed in full.
  7. The $50 Canadian will be deposited into the Referee’s RBC banking account within 6-8 weeks of redeeming this offer online provided all requirements are met for this time limited offer.
