Advertising & Cookie Notice

We use Cookies, pixels, mobile Software Development Kits (SDKs), and other tracking technologies (collectively “Cookies”) on all RBC websites and Mobile apps under Royal Bank of Canada and its affiliated entities (collectively “websites”) to customize your experience. This may include tailoring the information presented to you about products or services that are best suited to you, offer special promotions, and to better understand how visitors interact with our websites in order to make improvements.

Understanding Cookies

A cookie is a small data file which allows us to recognize you as a user when you return to the Website using the same computer and web browser, either for the duration of your visit (using a ‘session cookie’) or for repeat visits (a ‘persistent cookie’). Other similar files such as clear GIFs, web beacons and pixel tags work in a similar way. We use the word ‘cookie’ in this notice to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

RBC relies on Cookies, notably Google Analytics, and other commonly used technologies, to understand and improve your website experience as well as identify fraud or potential threats. We work with advertising companies that use tracking technologies (including Cookies and pixel tags) on our website and other websites or mobile apps, to provide you with tailored advertisements outside of RBC websites or mobile apps.
